Any prospective resident will be assessed before admission, by the registered manager or the senior carer in charge.

At the time of assessment, any relevant information will be obtained from other health care professionals, relatives and the person involved.
We believe that service users and their representatives must have the opportunity to experience the home before deciding to move in by visiting and staying for a trial period of 4 weeks as well as having to meet them in their own homes or current location whenever possible.
If during or at the end of the period either the client or the home management team regards the arrangement as unlikely to be satisfactory for the long term, residence can be terminated with reasonable notice from either side.
This ensures that the prospective service user can make an informed choice about their next place of abode and the degree of care and facilities they will receive.
Wherever possible we do accept emergency admissions and in the event of an emergency admission, management will work closely with the clients and their families to ensure a smooth transition.
It is actively encouraged that relatives also take an active part in viewing the home and looking at the facilities provided.
